| Exceptional and rare is the pattern of the beautiful fish slice and fork. The head of a lion lies on the top of the shaft with its fangs in releif on the front. The scrolling and shellwork are very sharp. Together the pieces weigh 10 ozs. troy, the slice is 12" long and the fork is 9". The obverse of both pieces is stamped with the Gorham hallmark and dated 1898 (see photo). This pattern seems to be rare and in Turner's "American Silver Flatware 1837-1910", this pattern is not shown. | ||
