Pair of American Aesthetic Movement hand carved rosewood chairs. Pierced carvings of acanthus leaf and marigolds surround the upholstered oval cushion on the backs. Masterful spiraling on the front legs culminate in acanthus leaf feet. Chair backs are 40" tall. C. 1890.
